God's Country Church History
God's Country Church was the brain child of Church Planter, Pastor/ Doctor Lewis McMullen and he was our first pastor for the first year. One year later Pastor Lewis felt lead to move to Florida. Our next and current pastor is Ron Gilliland. You can find out more about Pastor Ron on his bio page by visiting the link below. Our first service was in September of 1997. We will celebrate our ninth anniversary this year. God's Country was stated for the purpose of creating an environment that was an easy place to introduce non-Christian people to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We first started meeting at Alice Vail Middle School on the east side of Tucson and have been in a few different places since then. We are currently looking for our own building and property. Our services our non- traditional in some ways but still traditional in other ways.
We don't get caught up in dress codes of ties and suites. We're more of a "cowboy boots and jeans" kind of church. We have a come as you are attitude. Providing of course you're not distasteful or indecent, after all we are still a church. Instead of passing a plate we have a cowboy hat in the back for the offering. God's Country Church is a member of the Southern Baptist Association.
God's Country Church meets on Saturday nights at 7 pm. We are located at At Calvary Baptist Church 758 S. Columbus Blvd. Tucson, AZ 85711. We also have a Bible Study Group that meets on Thursdays night. Please call Pastor Ron for the time and location at 520-298-6272.
